SWINGING STRESS AWAY
Sunday, Oct. 30, is the perfect sunny afternoon for Bailey Jaramillo to golf. The 19-year-old enjoys the serenity of golfing at Pine Ridge Golf Club in Springfield, Oregon.
Jaramillo, a full-time student at the University of Oregon, taps his putter club with a delicate hand, watching as the ball rolls toward a victory on hole number four of nine.
“My clubs are one of the most important things to me. Anytime I feel stressed, I grab them and go golf by myself,” Jaramillo said. Jaramillo loves the Cleveland brand golf clubs because of their high quality and reliability.
This photo story was completed for the University of Oregon course J211: Gateway to media. I came along with Bailey Jaramillo, a student at UO, to capture a day on the golf course with him. It was incredibly rewarding to produce a photo story along with captions that capture what the sport means to Jaramillo.

Jaramillo’s dad taught him how to golf when he was 16; the main reason Jaramillo enjoys golf is because of his dad’s love for it.
Jaramillo swings on the third hole, focusing on the game with advice from his dad in the back of his mind.
